I'm sure he would have felt the same if I sat there eating my dinner wearing a deerstalker. I started to get distracted; my outer voice answered questions and tried to make polite conversation while my inner voice was crying out: By the end of the meal, I'd given up trying to concentrate, I just stared at the hat.
